What I did to Get in Shape for Summer Time

I Wanted To Look Great This Summer

Summer is here, and I wanted to look my best. It is no fun to go swimming with a bunch of fit people and feel like the odd ball out. So this year, I did something about my extra belly and butt fat and lost a few pounds before summer time came.

So first I Set a goal to exercise everyday.

I did sit ups, push ups, and rode my exercise bike, for cardio. Cardio could be running down the road, treadmill at the gym, swimming, etc.

I watched my caloric intake.

This is very important. You need to burn the amount of calories that you take in, so exercising makes sure those calories don’t go to your belly!

I drank only Water!

This relates to calories, but this one is very important. If you drink sodas all day long, that is your problem. Just one bottle of regular soda can have 200-320 calories, and cutting those out will help you greatly.

I signed up for swimming lessons

Swimming is a great full body workout. I did laps and learned better swimming techniques and breathing exercises. Also I wasn’t a very good swimmer to begin with, so lessons really helped me to feel more confident in the water. Each time I went to the pool, I tried to get more laps in, in a certain amount of time each swim.

I Kept on exercising

At first it was hard to keep it up, but if you make a list and post it where you will see it each day you will be more likely to actually do it.

Once you have a list make sure to push yourself more than the day before. If you did 5 push up yesterday, do 10 today. Decide to not be lazy anymore and get rid of that fat for good!
